Fix Verity Mod by Finding the Last Step That Worked
Do not reinstall everything. Start at the last confirmed success and inspect only the next layer. A startup crash belongs to Java, Loader or dependencies; a visible Verity that cannot answer belongs to prompt/config/provider; working text with silent audio belongs to voice and permissions.
Do this in order
- Step 1. Write down the last layer below that definitely worked.
- Step 2. Open the focused guide for the next failed layer.
- Step 3. Collect only redacted evidence and change one variable at a time.
Seven diagnostic layers
- Game / edition: Does the correct Java or Bedrock build launch?
- Loader / add-on: Is the JAR in Mods, or did the mcaddon import and activate?
- World: Does the configured world open?
- Entity: Does Verity appear or spawn?
- Text input: Is the prompt accepted?
- Model response: Does the AI provider return text?
- Voice: Does STT/TTS work after text succeeds?
