Fix Verity When It Shows Three Dots
Three dots usually mean Verity reached the response layer but has not produced text. Confirm the prompt was accepted, then look for a provider status code, timeout or exact project/version mismatch. Do not reinstall the loader when the entity and prompt already work.
Do this in order
- Step 1. Wait once for the project's documented response window and note the exact visible message.
- Step 2. Check the local log for 401, 403, 404, 429, timeout or unknown-host evidence.
- Step 3. Verify the selected project's current AI configuration without exposing credentials.
When this fix does not apply
If Minecraft crashes, the mod/add-on is absent, the world does not open, or Verity never appears, start at that earlier layer instead.
Safe evidence to collect
Collect the timestamp, HTTP status, provider/model label and redacted error line. Never include an Authorization header, API key, local username, IP address or private chat text.
